Budapest Wagner Days 2026 Jubilee Celebration Performance | 24 June 2026

365Tickets

Das Rheingold * Die Walkure * Siegfried * Gotterdammerung

In 2026, Budapest Wagner Days marks two major Wagner anniversaries: 150 years since The Ring of the Nibelung was first performed in full at Bayreuth—conducted by Hungarian János Richter—and 20 years since the founding of Hungary’s celebrated Wagner festival at Müpa Budapest. Launched in 2006 with Parsifal, the festival returns to its roots as the opera opens the anniversary season with an outstanding international cast. The Ring is presented in Hartmut Schörghofer’s acclaimed production, conducted by Ádám Fischer, and featuring leading Wagner singers including Tomasz Konieczny, Magdalena Anna Hofmann and Jürgen Sacher.
