Visit Prague, ‘The City of a Hundred Spires’ on our opera and music tour. Prague is undoubtedly one of Europe’s most renowned and enthralling capitals. The city will delight you at every turn, with palaces, cathedrals, and churches located throughout. Then there are the splendid bridges arching across the river, none more famous than the exquisite 15th century Charles Bridge, plus historic churches and merchants’ houses adorning the beautiful old town. Not forgetting the fascinating “astronomical clock” on the city’s unpronounceable square, Staromesti Namesti.
In the evening, attend performances of opera in two of Prague’s most famous venues – The Prague State Opera and The National Theatre.

Flight with Aer Lingus departs Dublin at 07:35 and arrives in Prague 11:10 (flight times and airline subject to change). On arrival in Prague, meet your local guide and transfer to the 4* Clarion Old Town Hotel where you booked for three-nights on a bed and breakfast basis.
Approximate arrival time at your hotel is 12:30.

The Clarion Old Town Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Old Town Square in Prague’s historic centre. It offers elegant, air-conditioned rooms with free internet access. Each room here includes a flat-screen cable TV, a laptop safe, a trouser press, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Some rooms enjoy views of Vltava River and Prague Castle. Czech and international dishes are served at Restaurant Benada.
Today, enjoy an afternoon guided walk around Old Town Square with your local guide.
The remainder of the day and evening is at your leisure.

Discover Prague with on our guided tour. Your city tour will begin by coach taking you up to the Prague Castle district. After your drive, take a guided walking tour around the exterior of UNESCO-listed Prague Castle and listen as your guide enthralls you with tales of the castle’s history.
After a short coffee break at the cafe at Lobkowitz Place, we take a guided tour of the Palace. Housed within Prague Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Lobkowicz Palace was the official Prague residence of the Lobkowicz Princes. The Lobkowicz Palace Museum features world-famous paintings by Bruegel, Canaletto, Velázquez and more; ceramics spanning five centuries; an exceptional collection of arms and armor; and hand-annotated manuscripts by many of the world's greatest composers, including Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven.
Afternoon at leisure for independent sightseeing. Why not visit the National Museum located at the top of Wencelsas Square, the largest museum in the Czech Republic or simply take a seat at one of Prague’s many cafes and watch the world go by.
The evening begins with a transfer to the Esplanade Hotel for a three-course pre-opera dinne. After dinner, walk with your local guide (approximately 4 minutes) to The Prague State Opera for the evening performance of La Traviata.

Today, you have the morning and afternoon free in Prague for independent sightseeing.
Your evening will begin with a three-course pre-concert dinner in your hotel restaurant. After dinner, walk with your local guide to the National Theatre for the evening performance of Il Barbiere of Seville.

Meet your local guide for coach transfer to airport for return flight. Flight departs Prague at 11:45 and arrives Dublin 13:25.

One small bag (size of a ladies handbag) and one standard piece of luggage is included in your tour price. (10 kilos check-in. Extra luggage is available to purchase prior to travel, prices varies according to baggage weight. Please note that checked-in luggage should be booked at the time of booking and must be booked with a minimum of 14 days prior to travel. Please note that we reserve the right to change both airline and airline times as airline schedules are subject to change. In addition, we reserve the right to change the departure date by a day or two in accordance with airline schedule and rates

Please note that there is a fair amount of walking on this tour. Ours are active holidays. Walking, stair-climbing and standing around for periods are unavoidable aspects of this tour. This tour is suitable for those of a normal fitness but may not be suitable for those who need support. Walking and getting on and off a coach several times a day is part of the tour.

This includes non-appearance of any named artist/orchestra. IFC have no control over performing artists and will substitute the performance should any changes out of our control be advised by the local venue.
