Day 1

Flight departs Dublin at 12:45 and arrives in Vienna at 16:30 (flight times are subject to change at airlines discretion).

On arrival in Vienna, you will meet your local Viennese guide for private coach transfer to the
4* Imperial Riding School Renaissance Vienna Hotel where you will stay for 4-nights on a bed & breakfast basis.

The Imperial Riding School Renaissance Vienna Hotel is only a short walk from the Belvedere Palace. Rooms were renovated in 2013 in contemporary design and offer modern conveniences.
The hotel’s Borromäus Restaurant offers both Austrian and International dishes. The famous Ringstraße Boulevard and city centre are within walking distance.

Day 2

Today’s tour begins with a visit to the gardens and Palaces of Schloss Belvedere. Built for Prince Eugene of Savoy, the Belvedere constitutes one of the finest art galleries in Vienna and now houses the Museum of Austrian Art with paintings by Klimt and Schiele. We take a guided tour of the Upper Belvedere.

Continuing the art theme, the tour moves to the Secession Museum. The Secession was built in 1898 and currently contains Klimt’s Beethoven Frieze, considered one of Klimt’s key works and a highlight of Viennese Art Nouveau. See the Secessions masterpieces on a guided tour and learn the history behind the art.

Visit Hietzing where we have included a coffee/lunch stop. Visit the Klimt Villa and immerse yourself in the world of Vienna's most famous Secessionist. The suburb of Heitzing houses the 1920’s neo-baroque villa was the artists last studio where he worked from 1911 to 1918. Followed by a visit to the Heitzing cemetery where you can visit the graves of Klimt and Wagner.

Day 3

Vienna, one of the most beautiful of Europe's historic and cultural cities, offers many fascinating buildings and today we take a short panoramic tour by bus followed by a Art Nouveu walking tour (1.5 hours) in the Old City. You will start from Schwedenplatz, Hoher Markt with Art Nouveau "Anker clock", then see the "Zacherlhaus" by Josef Plecnik, then Graben with houses by Otto Wagner, Artaria-Haus by Max Fabiani on Kohlmarkt, walking by Demel Patisserie (famous sugar-cast
artwork in the shop window), then by Loos Haus on Michaelerplatz and walking by the Spanish Riding School to the Gerstner coffee house, wher the tour stops for a coffee break before continuing the walk to the State Opera House for an interior visit.

Tour duration: approximately 5 hours.

After dinner, depart by coach with your local guide for the Vienna Volksoper for the evening performance of Turandot. With category 1 tickets.

Day 4
Today, admire the magnificent Schönbrunn Palace, the lavish summer home of the Habsburgs. Explore the staterooms where the royals lived and learn about its fascinating history from an expert guide.
Tour duration: approximately 3 hours.
The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore the city sights independently. Perhaps take in one of Vienna’s world class museums or Art Galleries, or simply visit one of the city’s renowned coffee houses and watch the world go by.

Day 5
Coach transfer to airport for return flight. Flight departs Vienna at 16:10 and arrives in Dublin at 17:55 (flight times are subject to change at airlines discretion).

One standard piece of luggage is included in your tour price. (10 kilos). Checked in luggage is available to purchase prior to travel, prices may vary. Please note this must be booked with a minimum of 14 days prior to travel. Bags booked within 14 days prior to travel will incur an administration fee of €25 per piece.

Booking deposit is €150 pp. Second deposit of €150 due 01 November 2021. Remaining balance due 8 weeks prior to departure date. No credit card charge on deposit payments.
