Program
Day 1:
Your tour will start with a flight from Dublin to Vienna. Flight times will be advised once released by the airline. (please note that flight times are subject to change at airlines discretion)
On arrival, meet your local guide for coach transfer to the 4* Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier where you are booked for four-nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

The Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Wien is located in a boutique Biedermeier passage and is an approximate 15-minute way from Vienna's historic city center. Hotel facilities include an à la carte restaurant and the Biedermeier Bar in the Sünnhof Passage, the ideal setting to enjoy a glass of wine after a day’ssightseeing. The Rochusgasse Underground Station is just 150m away from the hotel and will take you directly to the city center. Vienna’s famous sights such as St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Vienna Opera House and the famous Naschmarkt can be reached on foot.
A welcome meal will be served in the hotel restaurant to allow you get to know your fellow travelers. This will be lunch or dinner, depending on the flight time.
The remainder of the evening is at your leisure.
Day 2:
Experience the very best of Vienna on guided tour with a stop for coffee and cake in one of Vienna’s traditional cafes.
See the architectural highlights of the city center, including the Ringstrasse, Prater and the soaring spires of St. Stephen's Cathedral. Hear stories about the city’s kings, queens and revolutionaries, with stops for photos of Vienna’s classic sights.
As part of today tour, you will also visit the Pasqualatihaus.
The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to explore the city sights independently. Perhaps take in one of Vienna’s world class museums, visit one of the city’s renowned coffee houses and watch the world go by or simply relax in your hotel.
Day 3:
Enjoy the day at leisure before getting ready to attend the highlight of your stay in Vienna – a concert performance by remarkable Andrea Bocelli.
In the early evening, pre-concert dinner will be served in your hotel.
After dinner, transfer with your local guide and fellow travellers for coach transfer to the Stadthalle Vienna for concert performance.
Concert start time: 20:00.
Tickets are located in Category A, Row 6 & 7.
At the end of the evening, coach transfer back to hotel.
Day 4:
Today’s excursion starts with a visit to The Hofburg Palace where you will have a guided tour of the Sisi Museum and Imperial Apartments. Formerly the winter residence of the Austrian royal family, the Hofburg Imperial Palace (Hofburg Wien) is now a lasting tribute to the glory of the Habsburg Empire. It’s one of Vienna’s most magnificent baroque palaces, located within Vienna’s UNESCO-listed historic center.
Duration: 60 minutes
Afterwards, we move to the Kunsthistorisches Museum, one of the world's finest art museum. On arrival, relax over a traditional snackof Viennese sausage and roll with coffee/tea will be served in the stunning Cupola hall.
The Café-Restaurant in the beautiful dome hall of the museum is perfect for a short break. The elegant interior with its comfortable sofas is a great place to while away the time. From the high tables by the window you have a magnificent view of Maria-Theresien-Platz.
After the short break, an art-loving, licensed guide will guide you through the famous Picture Gallery and show you the most important highlights. (duration: 1-hour).
After this, the coach will return to the hotel. Guests are welcome to stay longer in the
Kunsthistorisches Museum and make their own way back to the hotel or to make the return transfer
to the hotel with the local guide.
Remainder of the day is at leisure for independent sightseeing.
Day 5:
Today, coach transfer with your local guide to Vienna airport for return flight. Flight times will be advised once released by the airline.
(Please note that flight times can be changed at airlines discretion).
Note on departure date: please note that the flight dates and times for November 2023. We reserved the right to change the departure date to a day either side in accordance with airline schedule and rates. Any change to departure date will be communicated to you in due course.

One standard piece of hand luggage is included in your tour price. (10 kilos). Checked in luggage is available to purchase prior to travel, prices may vary. Please note this must be booked with a minimum of 14 days prior to travel. Bags booked within 14 days prior to travel will incur an administration fee of €25 per piece.

Booking deposit is €200 pp. Second deposit of €150 due 01 November 2021. Remaining balance due 8 weeks prior to departure date. No credit card charge on deposit payments.

Passport
It is your responsibility to ensure your passport will be valid for your holiday. Please contact IFC should you have any queries regarding your passport. EU passport holders do not require a visa to travel within the EU. As a rule of thumb for European travel your passport should be valid until your intended date of return to Ireland. For travel outside the EU a validity of a minimum of 6 months beyond your return date is required. A visa may be needed for your holiday and information regarding this will be sent closer to travel.
