Day 1

Fly Dublin-Krakow with Ryanair operated by Buzz Airlines. (please note that flight times are subject to airlines discretion). On arrival in Krakow, meet your local guide and transfer to the 4* Grand Ascot Hotel where you are booked for three-nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

This boutique hotel is located in the heart of Krakow. An elegant building with a sophisticated interior, friendly staff and a restaurant serving great European cuisine make this hotel a great place to stay.
On arrival, check into the hotel.

After some time to freshen up, meet your local guide in the hotel lobby and depart on a walking sightseeing tour of the Old Town where you will discover the beauty of magical Kraków. As you walk along the Royal Way you will observe how Polish culture was shaped over the centuries. Marvel at the Market Square, the biggest of its kind in Europe, the Sukiennice Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Church, the Jagiellonian University and Wawel Hill. At noon each day, you can hear the Kraków Hejnał (bugle call) played by a fireman trumpeter, who can be seen in a gothic window in the highest tower of St. Mary’s Church while from the tower of Wawel Cathedral, you can touch the largest bell in Poland, the Sigismund bell and admire the wonderful view of the Old Town. After your tour you will have time to enjoy the charms of this bewitching city before heading back to the hotel for a welcome dinner.

Day 2

This morning, we visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, to see the underground world of the oldest salt mine in Europe with its beautifully carved chambers, chapels and an underground lake: all made in salt. The Wieliczka mine is often referred to as "the Underground Salt Cathedral of Poland". In 1978 it was placed on the original UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

This evening, attend the highlight of your stay in Krakow – a concert performance by the wonderful Andrea Bocelli. Your evening will begin with a three course pre-concert dinner in your hotel followed by coach transfer with your local guide to the Tauron Arena to take your seat at to see the wonderful Andrea Bocelli live in concert. Tickets are located in the Parter Section in Row 22 and Row 24.
At the end of the evening, private coach transfer back to hotel.

Day 3

This morning, meet your local guide and visit the Jewish quarter of Kazimierz in Kraków.

Kazimierz has been a major historic centre of Jewish culture since the 16th Century. Its soul perished during the traumatic events of the Second World War, but many of the district’s buildings, some still with Yiddish inscriptions, have survived. Today Jewish life and culture is undergoing a revival in Kazimierz. Many buildings have been restored and the district’s fashionable cafes, restaurants and bars are nowadays filled with tourists from all over the world curious to learn more about Jewish culture. The district’s main attractions are Szeroka Street where “Schindler’s List” was filmed, Isaac, High, and Old Synagogues, Remu’h Synagogue and its Cemetery.

Day 4

Morning at leisure.

In early afternoon (approx. 14:35) meet your local guide for coach transfer to the airport for return flight.
Flight departs Krakow at 17:35 and arrives Dublin 19:35 (please note that flight times are subject to airlines discretion). Flight with Ryanair operated by Buzz Airlines.

Low booking deposit of €150 pp to secure your place. Second deposit due by 31 January 2021 of 100 pp. Balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure date.

Please note that concert tickets are located in the Parter Section in Row 22 and Row 24.

Only hand luggage is included in your tour price. Ryanair offer a selection of pre-booked seat and baggage extras with fees attached. We will advise these optional extras at the time of booking.

It is your responsibility to ensure your passport will be valid for your holiday. Please contact IFC should you have any queries regarding your passport. EU passport holders do not require a visa to travel within the EU. As a rule of thumb for European travel your passport should be valid until your intended date of return to Ireland. For travel outside the EU a validity of a minimum of 6 months beyond your return date is required. A visa may be needed for your holiday and information regarding this will be sent closer to travel.

Tour Activities
Please note that there is a fair amount of walking on this tour. This tour involves a walking tour, a visit to the Salt Mines which is not suitable for people with mobility impairments due to the number of steps involved. Ours are active holidays. Walking, stair-climbing and standing around for periods are unavoidable aspects of this tour. This tour is suitable for those of a normal fitness but may not be suitable for those who need support. Walking and getting on and off a coach several times a day is part of the tour.

Please note that we reserve the right to amend the timings of the tour itinerary in line with supplier requests and included excursions may take place on different days.
