The Prague State Opera was built in 1888 and since opening has continued to maintain its rich artistic tradition. The repertoire features popular operas by W. A. Mozart, G. Verdi, G. Puccini and G. Bizet as well as ballets from the classical repertoire. Thanks to its spacious auditorium and rich Neo-Rococo décor, the theatre is amongst the most beautiful opera houses in Europe.
